Hi to all,

I would like to know in a user's/developer's perspective of what is really the big difference of using C1's VSFlexgrid Pro and True DBGrid Pro?  I am still using VB6 and of course, still new to using ActiveX version of the components.  I have not yet tried out the .NET components.

It so happen that I do not know the difference of the 2 controls. 
Is it because the VSFlexgrid is so flexible? Is it more flexible than the True DBGrid?  How about the True DBGrid? Is it for bound mode only?

Although I have read some of the features of those controls in their respective manuals, in my opinion, C1 (or just myself) has not been able to differentiate the "big" difference of the 2 controls, on what and when should I choose the Flexgrid Pro or the True DBGrid Pro?

Or is just C1 providing us developers with more flexibility?

 This Link should give you some help, though it is a comparison between the .NET versions, many of the same things apply. 

 Beyond that, the controls work as their names imply. TrueDBGrid is better suited for data binding, grouping, and using hierarchies. Flexgrid is better for working in unbound mode, exporting/merging, and more customized UIs.
