Is there a way to reduce the size of the NetHelp output? The CHM is under 6 MG when compiled. The NetHelp is over 21MG. I have compared the actual HTML pages between the two help file types. The NetHelp HTML pages are often smaller. I do not have any ancillary or unused Word documents in any folders. I am using linked JPEG images that are small in size and I am using the JPEG Always properties option. Overall, when I look through the folders of my project, I do not see any reason for this project to be so big. Any help on how to reduce the overall size would be greatly appreciated. I have XP with Office 2007. Kelly

Thanks for the response. I have tried many test projects to see if I could sort this out. Here is the result of a test case I did this morning. I created a project using all of D2H's default settings with the exception of one - I used the As Is setting for the graphics. (I am trying to get my original graphics into the help and I can't seem to be able to do this! D2H keeps creating copies of my images and renaming them.) So, here are the results in a Jing image:

If you click on the link, you can see that my CHM file was 660KB while the Net Help help is almost 3 MG.

I have searched the file folders over and over to find the bloat and cannot. In fact, in some cases, the HTML pages produced in NetHelp are smaller thant the CHM HTML pages. And, the images are the same size. There are no mysterious Word documents, etc.

Is this the default template that is adding bloat? I could cut some size off by importing my graphics rather than having D2H recreate them. Is this possible with NetHelp output?
