In the detail's "OnFormat" script event you can set this with vbscript like If UnitsInStock < UnitsOnOrder Then ProductNameCtl .BorderStyle = "Solid" Else ProductNameCtl .BorderStyle = "Transparent" Endif Regards, Greg
