Issues populating Chart field object in ReportDesigner

     To whom it may concern:

I have been creating reports for a reporting application at work now for several months using the C1 ReportDesigner. But in trying to create a simple chart I've found more stumbling blocks in a few hours then in the last few months of using your product. I have a very simple graph to show, a list of alarm names and the number of times the alarms were thrown that I want to include as a report definition. But I can't seem to get a working version of this that doesn't also require leaving in the text of these two data fields in the Details section (which is unacceptable to our client, they only want the chart on the report). When I leave the details section empty, the report attempts to throw every entry in the table on to the chart at once rendering it unreadable due to the number of entries.

Ideally, I just want to display a fixed number of entries from the table on a page, and have the chart stretch over multiple pages. And without having to display anything other then the chart itself. Is there any way to accomplish this in the report designer or must I create something in code to do this? I've tried to follow the chart example in the commontasks.xml sample definition file but its data segment really does not follow what I'm trying to accomplish.
