C1 Community

Hello

Suppose that I have C1 componentes installed with VS2005Pro. Now, I have  uninstalled VS2005Pro and later on I installed VS2008.

As you can imagine, the C1 help files are not listed in the new MSDN v9.0, and the tool box does not contain the C1 components.

What I must do in this case?

 You can add the controls to the VS2008 toolbox manually and they should work OK. You can also access the integrated help file from your start menu (mine is under All Programs, ComponentOne Studio Enterprise, ComponentOne Studio Enterprise 2.0 Integrated Help).

We will be releasing an updated installer which will be compatible with VS2008. I am not sure of the time frame yet, but it should be relatively soon. With our next official release, we will provide controls which have been fully tested with VS2008.

I've just installed the ComponentOne Studio Enterprise 2008 and my toolbox is still empty in VS2008. Can you provide a list of which components would have been added to the toolbox so that I can manually add only the proper ones back? What should there be for WinForms and what is for WebForms? It would be greatly appreciated.

To add the C1 Winforms controls to the toolbox, go to choose items and type in C1.Win into the filter bar. That will find all of the Winforms controls except for: C1.data, C1.dataextender, c1.dataexpress, c1.c1excel, c1.flash, c1.c1pdf, and c1.c1printdocument (you can skip adding those back in if you don't use them).

To add the Webforms controls, simply type c1.web into the filter bar and everything will be populated that way.
