    Error Code:8002000e

I just finished downloading the latest version of D2H: 2007.2.0.364 and went to compile an existing project.  I rec'd the error message listed in the subject block.  Can anyone tell me what I might have done or is there a bug in the new release?

    Thx

    Hello,

With regards to the query can you provide the following information:

    1. OS
    2. Version of Word installed on your machine?
    3. Are the samples working fine? The location for the samples is: C:\Program Files\ComponentOne\DocToHelp\Samples

    Awaiting your response.

    Have a great day.

    Dave

    1. OS ...WinXP SP2
    2. Version of Word installed on your machine...Word 2007 (12.0.6015.5000) MSO (12.0.6017.5000)
    3. Are the samples working fine? The location for the samples is: C:\Program Files\ComponentOne\DocToHelp\Samples...I received a message when I launched stating that the examples need to be run in D2H Enterprise (or something to that effect) and then stated click yes to convert (again, something to that effect) I was able to run in D2H 2007.  I just went back to see if I got the same message, but I did not.  Instead, I was able to launch the project.

I have noticed that when I try to compile my project, I start getting these "read-only" dialog / radio button objects, as though I already have the file open somewhere else.  This is not the case.  The project goes through its routine, but along the way I receive error message boxes (hence the 8002000e) then I receive the "read-only" boxes again.  This continues until the project has compiled.  Once the project has completed compiling, I notice a couple of things:

    •  I do not receive a "100% completed" message in the build screen
    • A template launches (C1H_Norm.dot) with none of my work, only the D2H Standard template page and the first page of the project...Chapter 1, Contents, etc.

I do have all of my work saved to a shared drive, as this is the corporate standard (they don't want any of our work saved on the local box) but I wouldn't think this is an issue.  At least it hasn't been prior to my installing of this latest version.

Outside of what I have presented in this message, I am clueless.

    Thanks for your assistance!

Okay...this is what I was able to find out:

I completely uninstalled the 2007.2.0.364 version and reinstalled the 348 version.  It seems to be working fine.  I get no errors when I compile / build my project.  Guess I'll send support an email.

    Thx

    Hello,

With regards to the query I would request you to please follow the following steps and let me know your observations:

    Copy the DOT files from

                C:\Program Files\ComponentOne\DocToHelp\Templates\User\Word2007

    To:

                C:\Users\ USERNAME \App Data\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

And copy the files from the following location:

    C:\Program Files\ComponentOne\DocToHelp\Templates\Startup

    To:

    C:\Users\ USERNAME \App Data\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP

Please note that the App Data folder is a hidden folder.

Also I would request you to check for the Global Templates (C1D2HAuthor.dot and C1D2HEngine.dot) are properly attached in the source documents by following the steps below:

    1. Click on the Office Button.
    2. Select Word Options.
    3. Select Add Ins from the left hand side pane.
    4. From the Manage dropdown select Templates.
    5. Click on Go.
    6. Make sure that they have a check mark and the path is the StartUp folder.

    I hope this helps.

    Have a great day.

    Regards,

    Dave

    Re: Error Code:8002000e

I have recieved the same error with build 2007.2.0.364 and went back to 348 which works ok.  Today I tried the latest build 2007.3.0.377 and on trying to build my project the 8002000e error message occurred.  I am using Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and Word 2003 with Service Pack 3.

    Re: Error Code:8002000e

I've got exactly the same configuration and error code. The only solution that worked was a downgrade to build 348.
