I gather from poking around on the net that d2htools.dll is a 16-bit version of d2htls32.dll.

Where can I find documentation for these dlls?

Hello Michael,

as both dlls are from Wextech I suggest to look into the documentation of your Doc-To-Help. In the online documentation search for "d2htools.dll".

You may realize that it's all rather old staff.

I don't actually have the documentation, or for that matter, Doc-To-Help.  I've inherited a project whose help appears to have been converted from D2H to RoboHelp but still uses the watermarks stuff from the aforementioned DLLs.  I'd just as soon drop the whole issue, but the guy in charge of the help file really wants to keep this feature, so I'm trying to help him out.

Surely there's some written documentation somewhere on these things.

so you are maintaining a help project in RH now, is that right?

Then I would suggest to use one of RH's own dlls. They support watermarks, too.

You might encounter difficulties when running WinHelp with old and today unsupported dlls on newer operating systems, no matter where they came from.
