Is it possible to add a basic LatLon-based polygon shape to the map via the MapItemsLayer?   I assume we can, but all the examples implemented in the C1MapItemsLayer appear to be single points.  If so, a code snippet would be greatly appreciated.  If not, a feature request would be greatly appreciated.

It is not possible yet, but it will be possible in a future release. It will probably be a different layer with support for KML documents. Please tell us if you have any suggestions, do you need support for a specific format? or some specific feature?

The ability to add polygons to the map would be useful for our application, KML support would also be welcome. More likely our application would source data from the database and need to populate the map with polygons on demand.  Are you planning on including polygon support in M4?

New layers with drawing support (and probably KML) will certainly be done, but are not planned for M4.

When can we expect full drawing support in MapItemsLayer?

I have an urgent need to do this, and I don't want to spend time writing my own MapItemLayer with drawing capabilities, just to find this functionality in MapItemsLayer the day after I'm finished my hack :-)
