    Problem installing C1StudioAspNET.msi 1720 error

Hi all hopefully will be able to help me with this. I’m trying to install C1StudioAspNET. Every time I try to install it I get a 1720 error (common by the looks of it...). After trying everything that I can find on your forum about this error it still isn’t installing. I’ve done a log of the install file the key parts I picked up on are: Property(C): ISSCRIPT_VERSION_MISSING = The InstallScript engine is missing from this machine. If available, please run ISScript.msi, or contact your support personnel for further assistance. Property(C): ISSCRIPT_VERSION_OLD = The InstallScript engine on this machine is older than the version required to run this setup. If available, please install the latest version of ISScript.msi, or contact your support personnel for further assistance. So I updated to windows installer 3.1 but still getting this same message. Any help would be much appreciated! Cheers, Rene

Re: Problem installing C1StudioAspNET.msi 1720 error

    Hi Rene,

    Here's the most likely solution:

The issue may be that the VB Script Runtime is not registered on your Vista PC.  According to some MSDN Blogs and Forums, some Vista installations don't have the VB Script runtime registered.  The solution is to locate and register vbscript.dll.  For example,

    regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system32\vbscript.dll

If that doesn't work, these links should help:

Re: Problem installing C1StudioAspNET.msi 1720 error

     Hi,

Please create an install log and send it to our support team so that we can investigate. Instructions can be found here:

    http://helpcentral.componentone.com/Article.aspx?ID=1738

Regarding your C1 Live problem, did you update the serial number on your machine?  That application looks at the serial number on your machine. If you didn't run the new installers yet, when you do that, you should be prompted for your new serial number. If not, or if you didn't run it, you can do the licensing from the about box of any controls.

    Thanks!
