    Output quality: API vs. Metafile

    Hi

    I'm using C1.C1Pdf.2 version 2.0.20063.

We are generating PDF documents using C1PdfDocument by two methods: one using the C1Pdf API and the other using .Net 2.0 Metafiles and then drawing the metafile to the C1PdfDocument.

We are experiencing some significant differences in rendering quality betwwen the two, and would like someone to take a look at some sample files for comment.

    Many thanks

    Hi,

I have created a small application which creates and load both bmp and emf image; however both pictures have the same quality. I have attached the sample with the mail.

Please feel free to let me know if you find anything different or if I have missed out anything.

    Regards,
    Gary.

    Hi Gary

Thanks for the response, however what we need is to send some of our own sample PDFs to someone at C1 technical support for their comment.

We are already familiar with both the GDI+/.Net Framework graphics API, and the C1Pdf graphics API.

As I said in my initial post, there is a significant quality degradation when our metafiles are rendered to a C1PdfDocument.

I would be grateful if you could PM me, and I can then email you some sample EMFs and PDFs for your comment.

    Thanks again

    Hi Paul,
You may email us at support@componentone.com with the required information.
Also include a small sample and the version you are using.
