    ShowPDF report Magnified

I am having problems with .showpdf on hosting server only.  The PDF file appears to be magnified which causes much of the page to be cut off. Regardless of what zoom percentage I pick in adobe reader it never displays the entire page. It works fine on my development machine and also on a test server.   I am using this version of the control 2.5.20073.260.   This problem started when I converted the site to 2.0 framework and upgraded my controls.

Below I have posted what support told me.   Could anyone elaborate on this?  I'm not sure where to go from here to resolve the problem.

The zoom percentage is decided by the default zoom value of Acrobat Reader in the browser. We can control the font size, style etc but not the zoom percentage in which the document will be opened.

However once the PDF has been created and exported, we have no control on how it is going to be opened and at what zoom (it depends totally on the browser and individual system).

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Please check the fonts to be avialable on the server. Please export the report to PDF using C1WebReport1.showpdf(true) method, this will embed the fonts when the report is exported to PDF.or can use the RendertoFile method with PDFEmbedFonts. Please uninstall any printers from the server.

Also try our latest build of the C1WebReport control.

    Regards,
    Patrick

Make sure you have 3.0 Framework installed.  That helped some of my reports.

    Re: ShowPDF report Magnified

The site is hosted in a shared environment so I dont' have a lot of control over what is/isn't installed on the server.  I am checking on the 3.0 Framework.

I did try the .showpdf(true) and also rendering to a PDF file and that made no difference and  I am using the lastest version of the control.

Regarding the fonts,   The reports works fine ont he same server using 1.1 framework and controls.  If the fonts were an issue with that have shown up then?   Also, the reports have a graphic on them and that is also magnified could that be font related??

     Thank you

    Kristy
