    large files

    Hi,

We have installed DemoWorks and have been facing problems. It seems to be a bug in DemoWorks. Whenever we get to create a project with more than 700 frames in DemoWorks, it just hangs the application and goes to not responding situation.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Paul.

    Re: large files

If you're capturing that many frames at once, I recommend reducing the frequency so that it doesn't capture as many frames.  That is, if you're working in Animation Mode.  If you can use Presentation mode, this will generate fewer frames.

The problem you're experiencing is due to the way DemoWorks manages memory.  We hope the new version will have much better memory handling for capturing larger demos.  With the current version there is a known issue when exporting a demo of 600+ frames to Flash output.

    Regards,
    Greg

Any idea when the large file version will be released and will it be considered an update?  We need large files also.

    Version 2.0.8 has been released.

This version should resolve issues when exporting large demos.  Please note that it is still not recommended to capture a long duration of video at a high frame-rate (Animation mode).  There will be a limit with this dependent on available memory - even with the latest version.  You can output demos that are big, but I recommend they be captured in parts if you're recording at a high frame-rate.

    Regards,
    Greg
