Hello
It is
possible that the templates might have been corrupted (as you do see a temp file
open) or your project or templates are on a network drive. Please make sure
everything is on your computers local drive. Try copying the C1 templates as
mentioned below:
1. If you
are using customized Templates then create a backup of the customized templates
which you are currently using. Copy the folder C:\Users\ USERNAME \App Data
(Hidden Folder)\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates and save it at a different location
as backup.
2. Next,
copy the Templates performing the following steps:
a) Close
Doc-to-Help and any instance of Word. Restart the machine.
b) Copy the
DOT files from
C:\Program
Files\ComponentOne\DocToHelp\Templates\Startup
To:
C:\Users\
USERNAME \App Data (Hidden
Folder)\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP
c) Copy the
DOT files from
C:\Program
Files\ComponentOne\DocToHelp\Templates\User\Word2007 (please makes sure that you
copy templates from the Word 2007 folder)
To:
C:\Users\ USERNAME
\App Data (Hidden Folder)\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

Patrick
Using Vista and MS Word 2007 and latest available Doc2Help version.
I'm getting this message when trying to edit document which form part of my
help system. I've checked and this template is not in use before I
attempt to edit the document. The only way around is to check the
"Create a local copy and merge..." option
Aftetr I complete my edits and close word it doesn't completely close,
there is a word instance remaining which needs to be cancelled in Task manager
before I can continue to use Doc2Help.
Any suggestions?
