Is there any update or expected timeframe here? I have also noticed a similar behavior in some other controls that use the new VisualStyles such as the C1ComboBox.

 I have a user setting that allows the user to choose their highlight color, so the workaround of setting a background image will not work in our environment.

In all seriousness, is there any update here? This thread started over 6 months ago, and I know I submitted a trouble ticket a while ago as well with a response saying the issue had been escalated. This can't be all that difficult...

I have already reported this bug and waiting for the solution.

Anyone who wants to duplicate this problem use Tutotial08 and change VisualStyle of dropdown to Office2007Blue.

Will this update be available to those who had a valid support license when the issue was reported but chose not to re-new? As of right now, my development team will likely NOT be re-newing our support due to non-responsiveness to this as well as other issues and buggy performance in general.

Hi John,

The next two months have elapsed and nearly one year has gone. No solution is in sight.
I can't believe that it is such a big problem to set a backcolor for a selected row.
Do you think you get this solved this year?

I talked this over with our developers.  This behavior was the original design. We are considering this fix as an enhancement but don't have an ETA.

that is very disappointing.
First your quality control misses the behavior "No user feedback for selected rows if Visualstyle is enabled". Don't know what they are testing - I would say this is a basic feature.
Second you need one year to tell us this is the original design. What does it mean? Like Microsoft: This behavior is by design. You don't want the user to see the selected rows?
At last you say this is an ENHANCEMENT with NO ETA?!? Seems to bee a real big thing. I'm curious about the product announcement: "Now with multi row selection - You can see it!"
I'm happy that it works if VisualStyle is disabled. But the grid looks not that pretty.

Please, talk it over again.
