Wrapper.dll

I have an application written that will run on my machine with no problem.
However when I try to deplay it using clickonce publish.

When I go to run it on a client machine I get an error about not being able
to find file
System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll"

See attached screen shot.

Any help / suggestions

Tried putting in a reference to System.EnterpriseServices

Change Copy Local from False to True and published .. Still same error

Did a serach for Wrapper.dll on the machine

found an instance at C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework

But it still oes not run and gives error as attachement in last message

Hi David,

Can you try to install that dll manually on the client machine?

I don't see why it is necessary. C1Data does not reference

System.EnterpriseServices dll or the Wrapper dll directly.

Where would you suggest I put it? It is already at C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework

Looking at the trace dump, I do not really fully understand them, it looks to me like C1 was the calling party

Please try to install it in the same directory with your application binary files.

The trace dump shows that exception occurs within the C1.Data.WriterSession.Execute method.

But, looking into that method, I suppose it was just caught there, then re-thrown by C1Data.

The source may be in a non-standard database driver or something like this. We don't use

enterprise services in C1Data.

Happened to me. I went to Add/Remove Programs, clicked on .Net 2.0 Framework and clicked the CHANGE button (expecting a UI to Repair the install). A form popped up with a progress bar, ran for a couple minutes, and went away. So, I retried my app, and now it works with no error. Guess the CHANGE button in Add/Remove Programs does a self-healing routine.

Seems to be a cute little gift from MS. I had this error a few times in my Visual Studio 2005 projects while evaluating diverse SW on the same computer and I usually resolved the problem by reinstalling Visual Studio. Some days ago the error started to reappear every morning, which naturally made me extremely happy. After some uninstall/reinstall-cycles of .NET and Visual Studio and other suspicious applications I realized, that the error was always recreated, when .NET 2.0 Service Pack 1 was installed by the automatic update. Since I disabled that update, everything works quite fine.
